Optical scanner for small research animals.
The whole animal scanner shall be a multi-user instrument that is used for a number of different research projects. The instrument will be part of a core facility at NTNU. The instrument must therefore be user friendly and easy to operate. It must be able to map fluorescence and bioluminescence with high sensitivity, and with the possibility for 3D tomography, in a broad spectral range with automated spectral deconvolution.
