Cafe and canteen shall give participants the necessary practical and theoretical competence that qualifies for jobs within the catering industry. This includes, amongst other things, work in restaurants, canteens, cafes, bakeries, coffee bars and businesses that sell fresh produce. Competence shall be gained through teaching and work practice. The course shall also give participants knowledge on working life, the labour market and on job applications. The course shall primarily be aimed at job seekers who are looking for work that does not required higher education. A heterogeneous group can be expected, where the participants have varying degrees of needs for follow-up and assistance. The first language of most of the participants is not expected to be Norwegian. The course shall include industry orientated learning, mapping, working life orientation and job applications, a practice period and individual follow-up of participants and employers. The course is to last for 13 weeks. The contract is for the period to 1.2.2018 [or the date the contract is signed] to 31.12.2019. The Contracting Authority (the Customer) has the option of an extension of the agreement until 31.12.2021. The Contracting Authority is planning to hold negotiations in this competition. The selection of tenderers for negotiations will be made in accordance with an assessment of the tenders, based on the award criteria (see the attached competition documentation). The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contract based on the first received tenders, without conducting negotiations. This was because it has now been clarified that the electronic communication requirement in public procurements applies to procurements with tender deadlines after 1.1.2018, regardless of when the procurement was announced.
