Firstly we would like the tenderer to look closer at whether the ‘family gathering’ in PRIDE prepares children for foster home assignments in line with its aims and whether there are any groups that are not included in this model. Furthermore, we would like to test a new model for guidance/follow-up groups for the target group. The aim of this testing is to get knowledge on whether the model meets the target group's need to communicate their experiences of having foster siblings. The tenderer shall look at the preparation phase and follow-up as a whole and propose a model for solving the assignment. Furthermore, we would like the tenderer to obtain and collocate knowledge on any other knowledge based models/manuals that are used in the follow-up of biological children in foster homes. This knowledge acquisition shall result in a recommendation of the most suitable models. 1500000.00 There are 2 aims of the assignment. The procurement fulfils the requirements for R&D in accordance with OECD's Frascati Manual as this study aims to get new knowledge on how the model for guiding parents' own children works in practice. The model was developed by Bufetat's Southern and Mid Norway regions, in accordance with the assignment from Bufdir and it is currently in an experimental phase. The development process of the model has not identified equivalent models in Nordic literature that could form the basis for knowledge transfer. Before the model is used and recommended as good practice in the work of preparing biological children in foster families for a foster home assignment, it is important to obtain new knowledge on: — To what degree and in what ways the model fulfils the intention is was developed for? — What age groups get the best results from the model? — What adaptations must be made in the model to improve the results in the other age groups? — Advantages and disadvantages of the model? 2017/54584 Testing a model for guiding biological children in foster families 2017-11-23 PROBA samfunnsanalyse 994642340 Øvre Vollgate 6 Oslo 0158 1500000.00 Barne-, ungdoms- og familiedirektoratet Postboks 2233 Tønsberg 3103 2017-11-25
