The Contracting Authority intends to procure a vacuum induction furnace. The Contracting Authority plans to use the furance for a variety of heat treatments (quenching if possible), refining and melting experiments with different types of raw materials (slag/metal based) and under vacuum or different gas atmospheres (inert, reducing and alternatively oxidizing).
The Contracting Authority expects the offered furnace to have a minimum ten year lifetime and the tenderers shall be capable of providing support and additional materials for at least this period.
