Short description

This ‘Electrical Project Management’ tender concerns the provision of Project Managers who manage specific topics and/or portion(s) of offshore wind projects as defined by the Employer within the Electrical Engineering discipline. Assignments will have a technical and commercial focus and may take place at any point within the lifecycle of a project: development, procurement, design, manufacturing, construction, handover as a generating asset.

Typical tasks and responsibilities include:

— Act as the Electrical package of works lead taking a leading role during the phases of development, procurement and subsequent construction of offshore wind farms.

— Combine engineering solutions with contractual terms and manage procurement process of Electrical Package of works from tendering through to execution phases and handover.

— Manage the Electrical Contractors and the Transmission or Distribution system operator throughout lifecycle of project through to handover to Generation.

— Handle work package reporting into both Line Management and Project team and provide input to internal decision processes.

— Interact with both Line Management and Project team by managing interfaces, sharing lessons learned and introducing improvements.

— Preparation of project specific Employer Requirements and ITT documents including alignment with requirement owners.

— Support in the Electrical procurement process and take the lead in technical evaluation and negotiation of bids and final selection.

— During the procurement phase, evaluate received offers on electrical supply chain development of new technology and assess the readiness for project application.

— Managing, co-ordinating and delivering work packages as defined by / agreed with the Line Management and Project team according to:

o financial project objectives,

o project programme,

o health and safety and environmental objectives,

o defined quality expectations,

o Package resource needs:

— Risk and opportunity management of assigned work packages ensuring that both risk and opportunities are captured in the tender process and later realization.

— Incorporate best practice from previous projects.

— Work as WTG technical engineer within a team of other specialists in mainly the UK, Denmark and Germany and potentially the Netherlands and Sweden.

Assignments will be based mainly in Vattenfall's London (UK), Kolding (DK) or Hamburg (GER) offices and potentially Amsterdam (NL) and Solna (SE). Travel between offices and to other locations within Northern Europe will also be required.
