Lier municipality currently has a framework agreement for data communication. This contract will soon expire and Lier municipality would therefore like to establish a new framework agreement for the delivery of data connections over fibre. The contract shall cover fibre connections for data communication between Lier municipality's existing and new locations in the contract period.
The delivery shall consist of layer 2 fibre connections with vlan support. The connections shall preferably be 1-10 Gb/s with an option to upgrade to higher speeds. Ethernet interface shall be provided for each location.
The contracting authority will see to the routing in a star structure. The 3-layer core switch is at the Town Hall location. Internet access shall also be connected and other locations terminated here. The Town Hall location will be the location for the firewall for security in the network
