Short description

NTNU invites tenderers to submit a tender for an ‘in vivo’ 2 photon microscope to carry out ‘in vivo’ picture processing experiments in real time, equipped with an infrared femtosecond laser. The 2 photon microscope system will be placed in the Department for Comparative Medicine, St. Olavs Hospital. There will be a multi-user system for intravital picture processing and taking pictures of thick tissue samples.

The 2 photon microscope must be versatile and have an open design in order to allow easy adaptations by the user. The system must be equipped for these programmes:

— taking pictures via a window chamber, both the dorsal windowed chamber implanted in the back of a mouse and cranial windowed chamber for taking pictures of brain tissue,

— 2 photon fluorescent and other harmonic generating microscopy of thick samples via an adjustable infrared laser,

— High resolution picture processing in four dimensions — 3D and time — of samples coloured with up to 2 fluorescent colour substances.

Future upgrades must include possibilities for in-vitro studies and reconfiguration in order to carry out transferring light microscopy.

See the contracting authority's technical requirement specifications in annex 1 for further requirements for the procurement (see the annex).
