The section of Microbiology is part of the Department of Biology at the University of Copenhagen. Studies at the Section of Microbiology are focused on microbial interactions (gene transfer, cellular communication, biofilm production, etc.). We also study the activity of specific microbial enzymes in the natural environments and under controlled conditions in the laboratory.
