Description of the task
Since 2003 the City of Copenhagen has approximately every 3rd year acquired oblique aerial images covering the whole municipality. This material is highly requested by staff for administrating the city in various ways. Last time the city was photographed was in 2012 and it is time for an update.
This year the area has been expanded to include the neighbouring municipalities of Tårnby, Hvidovre, ødovre and Frederiksberg.
The municipalities involved will acquire full rights and ownership to all material derived from the aerial photography. The producer is also allowed to resell images to a third party without restrictions.
The photographs will be published internally on the intranet and externally on a web server for use on the municipality’s web GIS portal for citizens. Image will also be passed onto citizens, municipal partners and the municipality's internal and external advisors.
Furthermore it is the intention to drape the images automatically over the 3D city model.
The area to be covered is approximately 225km2 and extends 17km east/west and 19km north/south. Two islands off the coast (Middelgrundsfortet and Flakfortet) are also part of the municipality of Copenhagen. Earlier oblique photography, only covering the City of Copenhagen, were done with approx 70 flight lines with a 200m separation. The polygon to be covered this year is shown in the attached zip-file (oblique_coverage.shp).
