Electrochaea.dk ApS is planning to enter in to contract for the purchase of a modular biomethanation pilot plant. The modular biomethanation pilot plant is to be engineered, designed and constructed under this contract. The core of the plant is a biocatalyst, an anaerobic microorganism, that converts hydrogen and carbon dioxide into methane. The contractor will convert a basic engineering package (FEED) into a detailed design, specify and procure all equipment, fabricate the pilot plant in a modular fashion, and ship and install the plant at the final site in Denmark. The detailed design includes, among other things, detailed process flow diagrams (PFDs), process and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), construction material selection, integration of safety and environmental requirements, electrical classification into design methodology, process control strategy, and feed/effluent tie-in. Further, the contractor will perform HAZOP and SIL analyses. The fabrication of the system will take place at the contractor's place of business, followed by factory acceptance testing (FAT). The contractor will also arrange transportation of the pilot plant to the final site in Denmark and perform the site acceptance testing (SAT).
