The government has decided that a new building should be constructed for the Brønnøysund Register Centre, in accordance with the Choice of Concept Study (KS1). Statsbygg has been tasked by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (NHD) to design a new building for the Brønnøysund Register Centre, up to the preliminary project stage. The project will comprise approx. 20 000 GFA, and the building will house over 600 employees. At the end of July, Statsbygg sent NHD a report on plots with recommendations for the location of a new building for the Brønnøysund Register Centre. A decision on the choice of plot is expected very shortly, and the selected plot will be used as a basis for the zoning assignment.
The zoning assignment will comprise the preparation of a complete zoning plan, including the submission of the final planning proposal for political processing, as well as any follow-up action during processing by the municipality, until a planning decision is made. The plan will then fall under Appendix 1 to the Regulation regarding environmental impact assessments, including the assignment for the planning programme and environmental impact assessment.
