Presently there is established a radio communication network system for operation of the city railroad in Bergen. The system is based on the TETRA system. The TETRA system is a vital assumption for high quality operation of the railroad and shall ensure communication in non-conformance situations, as well as in other critical circumstances. Due to this, the TETRA system has very high requirements related to uptime.
Due to the high requirements related to uptime and because alterations are planned for the existing system, which shall at all times be in operation, the City Railroad Development (the Contracting Authority) wishes to engage additional top competence fpr the special subject Radio/TETRA. The objective is to ensure the delivery from the property developer. The new system shall be in operation in 2015.
The proposed personnel shall be vital resources in assisting the City Railroad in the technical assessments of solutions for new installations, assessment and evaluation of test programmes and implementation of tests, as well as provide assistance in connection with the validation process of these systems. It may also be relevant that the proposed personnel conducts individual tests in the TETRA system presently in use. The personnel will also become resources in connection with the TETRA migration and must, if necessar, become familiar with the existing system related to out phasing / reconnection from an existing system to a new one. The service provider shall also provide follow up and improvement of the existing and in operation TETRA system.
