Introduction:
Tromsø municipality c/o the Finance Unit invite tenderers to an open tender competition for a 5 year contract for the hire/leasing of 2 digital production machines and a document scanner for the town hall printing office. The contract includes installation, support and service.
Tromsø municipality envisages a system with two production machines. One of the production machines shall be developed for the production of booklets, and it will be used for daily production. Offline systems can be offered if the supplier finds this suitable.

The offered equipment must be able to be placed in the printing office's premises in a sensible way. See annex 9 for a drawing of the premises.
Rip/server:
In addition to ordinary printing assignments, the printing office is also responsible for printing the municipality's invoices. These machines must be able to deal with up to 50 000 unique invoices, the system is to be described by the tenderer (inbox/hold-queue on RIP).
Software:
Most of the work done in the printing office is based on scanned material from books, legal documents, political committees, old plans etc. that shall be touched up, prepared and put together for printing. We are, thus, after a tool that can simplify some of the processes of preparing documents for print in an efficient way.
Service contract:
Furthermore a service contract shall be signed that follows the hire/lease contract. The contract period is five years from the delivery date. The supplier shall have the capacity for support and service in the equipment's/the system's lifetime.
