As part of a transfer of Vattenfall A/S' engineering business to Cowi A/S, Vattenfall A/S has on 23.7.2013 entered into a contract regarding the access to and utilisation of the transferred consultants. The agreement is vital for Vattenfall A/S and as result a necessary condition for the business transfer transaction, as it is an indispensable requirement for a number of Vattenfall A/S's power plants in order to ensure its continued and secure operation, to ensure security of supply of both heat, power and ancillary services and to enable the further development, including conversion into biomass and life-time extension in line with customer demand, public requirements, budgets and business plans.
