Novo Nordisk Foundation Center are running the same ALE (Adaptive Laboratory Evolution) experiments as at UCSD (Bernhard Palsson's lab), and we therefore need to be equipped with exactly the same systems.
This will allow us to compare our data and provide more flexibility to the process, like developing and testing a method in the US and running this method in Denmark.
We will be able to increase our throughput by running multiple assays simultaneously.
Also, having exactly the same system will avoid spending too much time on reprogramming/adapting existing procedures Finally, both in Denmark and in the US, people are trained on Tecan systems and should be able to remotely operate any instrument regardless their location.
