The establishment of Aarhus Light Rail Transit requires significant changes in the existing road and rail infrastructure and surroundings. The Light Rail Transit project comprises the following civil works:
— establishment of bridges, retaining walls and dams,
— alteration of existing road infrastructure,
— alteration of existing rail infrastructure, including tracks, signalling, interlocking systems,
— earth and drainage works,
— management of utility lines,
— alteration of the existing railway station Aarhus H,
— establishment of new road lightning and signalling systems.
