Pavadinimas Supply of Ultra High Vacuum Copper Masks
Trumpas pirkimo aprašymas CERN intends to place a contract for the supply of 30 ultra-high-vacuum beam copper masks, that will be used to dispose of the physics debris emerging from the collision points and limit the accumulative dose taken by the superconductive magnet downstream. The masks are one-meter copper vacuum beam apertures, welded to tapering transitions that are brazed on UHV stainless-steel flanges. The copper part is a single piece with tight tolerances under 400 micrometers, requiring Electrical Discharge Machining, vacuum brazing and Electron-Beam Welding. Two deliveries are expected, one for a pre-series mask in Q1 2025 and another for series masks, in Q4 2025.
