RFI – Nitrogen removal/recovery system

Short description

The reason for the request
With future nitrogen removal requirements, Hias IKS seeks information on solutions for nitrogen recovery or removal from the struvite reactor outlet. The goal is to recover or remove NH4 from this reject stream. Hias IKS invites suppliers to respond to this Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential solutions. The request is open to all available technologies, including biological, chemical, direct reuse, or any combination thereof. Along with economy and physical footprint, the focus is also on circularity and sustainability, with a keen interest in the proposed solutions' energy efficiency, CO2 footprint, and direct GHG emissions.
This RFI does not bind the supplier or Hias IKS to subsequent procurement, but a procurement process is anticipated soon after the RFI response.
