Trumpas pirkimo aprašymas CERN intends to place a Contract for the supply of a high-precision universal 5-axis milling centre for small-size components.
The purpose of this Market Survey is to identify potential bidders for the design, manufacture, assembly, configuration, testing, installation, commissioning, training of CERN personnel, as well as preventive maintenance of a high-precision universal 5-axis milling centre for small-size components, hereinafter referred to, in whole or in part as the “Supply” as defined in this Technical Description and in accordance with the criteria defined in the Qualification Questionnaire.
The Supply will be used to produce prototypes and small series parts from forged stainless steels, aluminium, forged and annealed copper alloys, Heat-Resistant Super Alloys (HSRA), such as titanium or Inconel, and carbon steels for LHC experiments and workshop needs. It will also perform repairs on mechanical components of various dimensions and materials.
