Short description

1. Description of Requirements The World Health Organization (WHO) invites vendors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of technical support on Quality Assurance (QA) for procurement of medical equipment and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) during the period 2024-2025 which address the following objectives: a. To support WHO Country Offices (COs) and Regional office (RO) to conduct technical evaluation of technical documents received during the local procurement process conducted by WHO COs (to ensure alignment with WHO Headquarters lists); b. To provide technical advice on equipment to be procured by WHO Cos and Member states (MS) especially for intensive care units in central and regional hospitals (including but not limited to O2 supply, ventilators, monitors, RX machines, medical equipment for NCD programs etc); c. To conduct desk review about availability of medical equipment / suppliers in the region and inform WHO about best procurement options; d. To keep a list of medical equipment and its’ specifications on offer and indicate characteristics not complying with WHO or international standards; e. To develop an adapt tools to summarize information and recommendations to be used by MS; f. To provide short reports explaining / evidence based the recommendations to guide procurement g. To travel to MS in case of need (for example, to supervise renovation work conducted in hospitals to ensure a good functioning of medical equipment procured by WHO, to provide trainings and workshops). WHO intends to invite selected vendors to participate in a formal solicitation, via a Request for Proposals (RFP), at a later stage, for the above requirements. Minimum Criteria for Vendors Companies can only participate in this Request for EOI from WHO after completing their basic registration (free of charge) at the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). - Potential vendors should be institutions/companies operating in the field of PPE, medical devices and medical equipment, medical engineering with proven expertise in international procurement, international public tender and bid assessments - Vendors should also have experience to conduct Medical equipment assessment, to develop and review technical specifications of medical equipment for hospitals and to develop technical reports with recommendations in English. - Preferable experience of the vendor: This experience should preferably relate to international organizations and the areas of expertise related to the requirements. - A list and information on key personnel / experts of the vendor Please see the attached REOI document for more detail. https://www.ungm.org/Public/Notice/211910
