Short description
The Metropolitan Copenhagen Heating Transmission Company – CTR, owned by 5 municipalities, wants to replace two of a total of 4 oil-fired boilers that make up the current peak load unit at Frederiksberg – in short FVC. The purpose of the project is to fulfill CTR's goal of a sustainable heat supply, which is achieved by converting production facilities from oil to electricity. With a mix of electric and oil fired boilers at the peak load station, CTR increases security of heat supply in peak and reserve load situations by producing heat based on different sources of energy.
The project is divided into several contracts, where the current invitation to tender deals with the delivery and installation of a pressurized 2,100 m3 heat accumulation tank; Complete planning, delivery, assembly and connection, as well as testing and commissioning of a heat accumulation tank, fully ready for operation, built at the peak load unit (FVC) at Frederiksberg, Denmark.
