2. PRESENTATION OF OFFERING COMPANY:

KARL is an agritech startup focused on optimising task scheduling for farmers and agricultural sub-contractors without them needing to analyse weather and soil conditions. We have developed an API designed to integrate into existing Farm Management Software, and are currently working on our own standalone application that uses local field conditions to help farmers schedule the most common field tasks, i.e. tilling, sowing, fertilising, harvesting etc.

3. DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK UNDER MARKET UNDERSTANDING:

These tasks are to be undertaken sometime between March until the end of May.

Market/ Business Model Consultation

Help to clarify the specific types of farming organisations most suitable for our software. We want to better understand how we identify their needs and requirements, which is crucial as we are at a stage where we have a ready product we are trying to get test users for. This will help us over the next two months in focusing our resources on the functionality most important in getting our product market ready.

Explore alternative business models which could help us identify our most feasible route to market.

Help determine a pricing strategy for different segments of the market.

Help in the development of a software test plan. This includes but is not limited to,

Outline a plan on how KARL can conduct initial workshops with farming organisations. We will conduct these workshops without the aid of the consultant, although their input in the initial development of these workshops will ensure we get the most out of our time with the farmers/ farming organisations we interview.

Defining the overall objective of the testing effort.

A detailed outline of how testing will be conducted (the test approach).

The features, applications, or components to be tested.

Outlining scheduling and resource allocation plans for testers and developers throughout all stages of testing.

This will help us determine optimal testing seasons, timelines as well as how to best conduct software testing with farmers. Farmers are their own category of users, making it important to design our tests in a manner that both suits their needs and provides us with valuable product information. The consultant will help us better understand our end users and prepare, but not take part, in our software testing.

4. TASK OBJECTIVES AND SUCCESS CRITERIA:

Task Objectives

A brief report summarising the consultants findings related to market and business model.

A written report outlining a software test plan.

Success Criteria

A better understanding of our product-market fit and business model and pricing strategy.

A clear framework to execute our software testing.

5. BUDGET AND OFFER SPECIFICATION:

We expect the written offer to contain at least:

• A brief presentation of the tenderer, stating the CVR number and contact details.

6. BACKGROUND OF THE TENDER:

The provider is subject to a number of requirements for good, sound financial management, including documentation that the agreed price for external purchases is an expression of the market price. This tender is part of this.

We emphasise that the tenderer may only make an offer for the requested delivery. Services of an executive or implementing nature cannot be approved.

The final offer is chosen by the offering company based on an assessment of the best correlation between price and quality.
