IGN (Department of Geosciences & Natural Resource Management) provides knowledge and education to help solve big societal challenges, i.e., climate change and increased pressure on natural resources. The department is organized into 5 sections: Geography, Geology, Forest, Nature and Biomass, Landscape Architecture and Planning, the Forest and Landscape College. The department has approx. 450 employees, 150 PhD students and 1,500 bachelor and master’s students.
