Oslobygg KF is planning an invitation to tender for the procurement of a turnkey contractor for the renovation of the Sophies Minde building in Tronheimsveien 132. The building is planned to be reconstructed to a nursery with 20 departments and a district building for the Grünerløkka district. We would thus like to notify the market about the pending contest. The turnkey contract is planned to include demolition of the low-rise building in the courtyard, total renovation of approx. 13,000 m2 internal area spread over five levels, and renovation of façades, roof, windows and doors. The façade of the building is listed. Approx. 7,000 m2 of outdoor areas shall also be developed for an outdoor playground for the nursery. The area contains several locations worthy of preservation. The tentative initiation date of the rigging and demolition work is August 2022, with expected completion of the project in December 2024. Note that these dates are tentative and can be postponed.
