Dear Sir/Madam:
The DRC Stand-by Roster (SBR) is a collection of thematic rosters with 800 experts who are recruited, trained and on stand-by for deployments to primarily United Nations (UN) humanitarian operations to fill short-term staffing gaps. The overall objective of the DRC SBR is "To strengthen the UN organisations’ humanitarian operations related to refugees, internally displaced persons and other groups affected by displacement caused by man-made crisis or natural disasters." This is achieved through capacity building and deployment of high-quality experts and specialists to UN humanitarian relief operations all over the world as a short-term solution until the UN have had time to upgrade their own staff capacity.
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has received a grant from DANIDA for the implementation of the humanitarian aid operations entitled Humanitarian Strategic Surge Capacity. Part of this operation is the consultancy services for Induction Training and other development work. Therefore, the DRC requests you to submit your proposal for a 24 month Consultancy Purchase Agreement. Please be guided by the RFQ and the attached Terms of Reference ToR) Annex E.
