The contract mainly consists of the establishment of an overtaking lane in the steepest gradients on the south side of Ørskogfjellet, through a width expansion along the existing route. Otherwise the project also includes improvements to the curvature along the route, in accordance with the current road norms. This means that a minor part of the stretch, approx. 200 m, is to be developed outside the existing road line. The project's total length is approx. 2.8 km, of which approx. 1.8 km is a 3 lane road with an overtaking lane, which covers pr. 3485 – 6320.
