The tender contest applies to design/engineering design for a new coastal vessel.
It has been decided that the procurement of a new coastal research vessel shall be divided into two procurements, one procurement for design (design contract) and one procurement for construction, equipping, testing and delivery of the vessel (Ship Building Contract). This tender contest includes the design/engineering design of a new coastal research vessel, but the chosen winner will be a subcontractor for the construction contract.
A functional description has been prepared for the new coastal research vessel, where the level of ambition is tried illustrated. The design that is being prepared shall safeguard the requirements stated in the function description.
The estimated contract value is NOK 7 million excluding VAT (design contract and sub-provider for the construction contract). The amount is an estimate and is not binding for the contracting authority.
