Short description
Computerome is the Danish National Supercomputer for Life Sciences. The system is largest system of its type in Denmark and Scandinavia. Life science research has special demands for the amount of data being processed as well as for the transfer time between storage and computing resources hence the storage system design a key for the success of the platform.
The current system is going through a complete refresh of the HPC system. The compute cluster consists of 50 000 CPUs which the new storage system will be attached to. It’s a key to understand that the system is built after privacy by design and computable storage, hence it’s important that new storage system architecture reflects that as well.
The new super computer (“hereinafter Computerome 2.0”) is split into 2 systems (active-active) to provide even higher level of service to its users.
