The delivery includes a substructure and superstructure for a new bridge.
Substructure new bridge includes foundations for a new double track railway bridge over Stjørdalselva. Other parts of the bridge will be constructed in another contract, E3, Sheet piling, piling and uncompacted matter works new bridge.
A total of 5 pillars and 2 land abutments shall be constructed. Both the pillars and land abutments are to be constructed from concrete constructions cast on site. There is approx. 260 m between the outer points on the land abutments. The foundations are close to the existing bridge over Stjørdalselva. Filling against constructions, some erosion protection, removal of sheet piling boxes and some other minor works are also included.
The steel construction is to be constructed as a continual girder bridge with girders along the sides of the bridges. The bridge is approx. 200 m long and 10 m wide in total. The bridge partly lies on a curve with a horizontal radius of approx. 600 m. The girders are to be connected with cross girders every 3.75 m and the concrete cover is to be cast according to the cross girders. The main girders and cross girders with the cover form a trough which, upon establishment of the track, will be filled with ballast up to the top edge of the main girder.
The steel construction is to be constructed in large and small parts in a workshop and put together at the construction site.
The concrete cover is to be constructed with a thickness of approx. 400 mm. Bridge stores, railings and membrane works are also included.
